The Short Version

File Viewer runs entirely in your browser. The files you open are never sent to a server — they are read and rendered on your device and are gone from memory the moment you close the tab. There are no user accounts, no logins, and no tracking of what you open. This website uses privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics and handles whatever you choose to send us through the contact form.

Your Files

• Processed locally — there is no backend and no upload
• Never written to disk or to storage by a viewer; closing or reloading the tab discards them
• Viewers keep working offline once a page has loaded
• The only thing kept between visits is a display preference, such as your theme or background color, in your browser's local storage

This Website

The file-viewer.us website is served by Cloudflare, which receives standard web request metadata (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. For analytics we use self-hosted, cookieless Plausible Analytics — aggregate page counts only, no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal identifiers, and nothing shared with ad networks.

The Contact Form

When you send a message through our contact form, it is verified by Cloudflare Turnstile and delivered to our inbox. We use what you send solely to respond to you; nothing is stored on our servers beyond delivering the message.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information. The only third parties involved are the service providers named on this page, each used solely to operate the service described.

Children's Privacy

File Viewer does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13 years of age.
